T-closeness aims to make the distribution of sensitive information within a group similar to the distribution of sensitive information for an individual record. It minimizes the difference between the sensitive information of an individual and the overall distribution within the group.

Example

If the sensitive information distribution within a group closely resembles the distribution of an individual's sensitive information, the data can be considered to satisfy T-closeness.
